About the event

The International Society for Virtual Rehabilitation and XR4REHAB will join forces this year to bring you the 2024 World Congress on Virtual Rehabilitation. Merging the conferences creates a meeting where all stakeholders are united on a global scale.

We invite you to be part of this meeting of interdisciplinary experts engaged in cutting-edge research, clinical advancement, and entrepreneurial exploration. This joint congress will provide an in-depth presentation of novel technologies and clinical developments in the field of virtual reality (VR), extended reality (XR) and associated topics applied to rehabilitation. Researchers, clinicians, and technology experts will meet, share experiences, and plan for the future.

Program

The World Congress on Virtual Rehabilitation offers a varied and informative program including keynote presentations from leading experts, oral and poster presentations, projects in the spotlight, debates, workshops and more.

Check out our Program-at-a-Glance HERE.

Keynotes

Lorimer Moseley, Melvyn Roerdink, Guiseppe Riva and Sandy Rathod will provide the keynote presentations. We already look forward to exchanging thoughts and learn from these experts.

Workshops

How to convince your manager to use XR for rehab

During this practical workshop you will work on business cases, so that you have a substantiated answer if your manager again harps on the many reasons why not to start with XR for rehabilitation.

A patient journey

You put yourself in the patient's shoes to think about steps to improve patient care with XR.

Workshops are free for registered participants - first come, first served - full is full

Student Mentoring Event

The Mentoring Lunch is an engaging opportunity for undergraduate, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to interact with experienced researchers from academia, engage in rich discussion and ask questions on a range of topics. Example of topics that may be discussed include: Time management, Conflict resolution, Strategies to increase productivity, Writing tips, Grants writing and Work-life balance. A group of mentees will be paired with two mentors, including a senior researcher in virtual rehabilitation research.

If you're interested to receive mentorship, please register for the lunch via the "Register for Mentoring Lunch" link in the registration form and answer some brief questions to assist in organization of the mentoring session. Spaces are limited, so register early.
